Nur Pamudji

Illuminating Change in Energy Leadership

Meet Nur Pamudji, a dynamic force in the energy sector who achieved unprecedented milestones during his tenure as the youngest managing director of the State Electricity Company (PLN). Under his visionary leadership, PLN earned a spot on Fortune magazine’s esteemed list of the world’s largest companies, marking a historic achievement. Nur’s dedication to integrity and transformation is exemplified through his “Clean PLN” initiative, a resolute stance against corruption in the electricity sector that earned him the prestigious Bung Hatta Anti-Corruption Award in 2013.

Nur Pamudji’s journey is a testament to his exceptional blend of engineering and public management prowess. His academic pursuit began with an electrical engineering degree from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), followed by a Master of Engineering in Electric Power from the University of New South Wales Australia, and a Master of Public Management from the National University of Singapore. His commitment to continuous growth led him to the Executive Program at Harvard University and accreditation as a Main Professional Engineer from the Indonesian Engineers Association.

Fuelled by a deep passion for energy, Nur’s trajectory transcends PLN as he stepped into advisory roles, including Advisor to the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources. Now firmly rooted in the realm of renewable energy, he serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Association of Rooftop Solar Electricity Users and Trustee of the Indonesian Solar Energy Association. These roles mark pivotal steps toward transforming Indonesia’s electricity landscape.

Today, Nur’s influence extends as a Business Advisor to domestic and foreign private companies, shaping the trajectory of the electricity supply industry. In addition to his roles in the energy realm, Nur’s participation as a Member of the Board of Trustees at Coaction Indonesia reinforces his commitment to sustainable change.
