Meet Dwi Tamara, a distinguished graduate from the University of Indonesia’s Geography Department, adorned with Cum Laude honors, and a staunch advocate for the environment. With an academic journey exemplified by excellence, Dwi Tamara bridges theory with hands-on expertise.
Their dynamic spirit flourished during an internship at Grab Indonesia, where they thrived amidst rapid innovation, translating intricate concepts into actionable outcomes. As a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Intern at Koltiva, Dwi Tamara masterfully mapped agricultural landscapes and dissected spatial data within the agricultural realm. This prowess continued as a Project Officer at Waste4Change, orchestrating the triumphant execution of the Open Burning of Waste project in Jabodetabek and producing comprehensive study reports.
In their role as a Policy and Advocacy at Coaction Indonesia, Dwi Tamara’s inquisitive mind delved into research dedicated to sustainable energy transitions. Notably, their laurels include being named the Best Presenter at the International Conference on Anthropocene, Global Environmental Change, and Powerful Geography in August 2022. Further, a nomination for the Most Outstanding Student at FMIPA UI in February 2019 adds to their accolades.
Beyond their professional canvas, Dwi Tamara dons the hat of Head of the Research Division at Climate Rangers Jakarta since January 2022. The pursuit of knowledge takes them beyond research, embracing vital issues like air quality, energy transition, and the climate crisis. Their boundless passion radiates through community engagements and volunteering, as they immerse themselves in organizing events and driving impactful public campaigns.
