A Maestro of Energy Efficiency
Hakimul Batih epitomizes the synergy between technology and energy, a fusion that drives his remarkable journey. Armed with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and a PhD from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, Thailand, Hakimul’s expertise lies at the intersection of these domains. His professional voyage, spanning from its inception to the present, has been steadfastly rooted in the energy sector.
During his tenure as Executive Director at the Indonesian Institute of Energy Economics (IIEE), Hakimul emphasized instilling energy efficiency awareness among the younger generation, nurturing a transformative habit. His brainchild, The Energy Saving Ambassador Program, annually engages elementary, middle, and high school students. This initiative extends beyond a competition, forming an active cohort that champions energy efficiency and conservation, armed with the knowledge garnered.
Hakimul’s passion for energy knowledge dissemination shines through his scientific contributions, role as a resource person, and position as a lecturer at the Faculty of Electricity and Renewable Energy (FKET) Institut Teknologi PLN Jakarta. His dedication extends to directly facilitating community electricity access, as demonstrated by his efforts with the Community Service Team (PKM) FKET Institut Teknologi PLN Jakarta in Gadog Village, Sukamahi Village, Cianjur Regency, West Java.
Subsequently, Hakimul’s journey led him to The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Clean Energy Finance & Investment Mobilization (CEFIM) as Indonesia Program Local Representative and to Coaction Indonesia as Supervisor. These affiliations underscore his commitment to advancing clean energy for the betterment of Indonesia and its people.
