The demand for jobs in the electricity sector is steadily increasing as ESDM has planned up to 49 Billion USD to invest in renewable energy. ESDM predicts that for every one million USD investment in renewable energy on average will create three times as many jobs than non-renewable energy. This enticing prospect also meant that the Indonesian workers skill set has to be improved and updated to be able to adapt to this change.
